NECTA is responsible for the administration of all National Examinations in Tanzania. The decision to establish NECTA was a follow-up of an earlier move, in April 1971, when Tanzania Mainland pulled out of the East African Examinations Council (EAEC) to conduct her own examinations. Zanzibar pulled out of EAEC in 1970. Standard Four National Assessment Examination Formats This format of Standard Four National Assessments is based on Primary School curriculum of standard III to IV introduced by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, which was issued in 2016 and was effectively used in 2017. Primary school curriculum of 2016 is more focused on the Education and Training Policy of 2014, which emphasizes learners’ competence in all learning faculties. The Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) has announced the results of form four and form two for 2019. The Executive Secretary of the Examinations Council of Tanzania (Necta), Dr Charles Msonde, said the performance has increased by 1.38 percent. Top 10 Students Form Four Results 2019  | Wanafunzi 10 Bora NECTA Form  Four 2019, Best 10 Students NECTA 2019 The National Examinations Council (Necta) in Tanzania has announced the fourth Form 2019 results showing 340,914 candidates equivalent to 80.65 percent of the 422,722 candidates passing their exams. [ads id="ads1"] The results were announced today on Thursday, January 9, 2020 by Necta Executive Secretary, Dr. Charles Msonde, who said the candidates are a 1.38 percent increase compared to 284,126 candidates and 79.27 percent who passed the exam in 2018. Qualifying Test (QT) Introduction The Qualifying Test examination will be administered to private candidates inteding to sit for the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), but do not have Form II level secondary education. [ads id="ads1"] The Qualifying Test will comprise questions from Civics, Cross Cutting issues, English Language, Kiswahili, Kiswahili, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Qualifying Test draws as much as possible from the form I and II national syllabus but focus more on testing knowledge and skills equivalent to National Form II Examination.
